It won't happen overnight, but by taking small steps forward, you can make progress and achieve your goals. Here are 5 steps you can take on your journey back to your self-confident self so you can unlock your full potential to experience the incredible life you are meant to live in.

Step #1: Identify Your Strengths & Achievements
The best way to rebuild your self-confidence is by acknowledging your special qualities, strengths, and past achievements. Take some time out to list down what you're good at and what makes you unique. Start counting your past blessings and achievements and reassure yourself how far you've come. By identifying your strengths, you can focus on building up your self-worth. Besides, nurturing your strengths gives you the motivation to move forward faster.

Step #2: Practice True Self-Love
Self-love is the foundation upon which self-confidence is built. You have to love and accept yourself before anyone else can. It's common for people to criticize themselves, but this negative rhetoric can significantly affect your mental health. Therefore, cultivate a positive attitude towards yourself. This involves accepting your flaws and embracing your imperfections.
As you reconnect with your authentic self and nurture self-love, discover how these transformations can positively impact your relationships with others. Learn how to build kind, supportive, and loving connections with friends, family, and romantic partners.

Step #3: Rewire Your Negative Thought Pattern
Negative thinking can hinder self-confidence, and it's often a vicious cycle that's hard to break.
To overcome negative thoughts, you need to re-direct the thinking pattern and then rewire the negative thoughts influencing your life negatively. When you have a negative thought, ask yourself if it's true. If you catch yourself saying, "I'm not good enough," counter that with, "I am good enough because I have unique skills and strengths." And go back to the list of things you recognized in step #1. Read out loud what you've written in step #1. This way, you'll be able to reframe your negative thoughts with evidence that you're an amazing individual who has achieved many goals and overcame obstacles countless times, and this time is no difference.
Step #4: Surround Yourself with Positive People
The people we surround ourselves with can have a significant impact on our self-esteem. We have unique brain neurons called Mirror neurons, a specific type of brain cell, that exhibit activity both when an individual performs an action and when observing someone else perform the same action. Mirror neurons play a crucial role in shaping thoughts and actions within a group, influencing the dynamics of shared experiences. These specialized brain cells, activated both when performing and observing actions, contribute to the contagious nature of emotions and thought patterns among individuals in a collective setting.
Negative thought patterns within a group can have a ripple effect, as mirror neurons facilitate the transmission of emotions and behaviors. If one member harbors negative thoughts, the mirroring mechanism can lead others to adopt similar negative perspectives. This phenomenon creates a feedback loop where pessimistic attitudes reinforce and amplify, fostering an environment characterized by collective negativity. The shared neural responses facilitated by mirror neurons contribute to the synchronization of negative thought patterns, potentially leading to decreased morale, increased stress, and strained interpersonal relationships within the group.

Sleep 1 hour more to give my brain 1 hour extra healing time
Eat slowly and consciously
Meditate for 3 min/3 min more to connect with my soul
Tell me I love myself daily
Listen to positive music to boost my mood
Move my body for 5 minutes; stretching, walking, jumping, dancing
Tell my body thanks for today (not everyone woke up today)
Read a book instead of scrolling on social media
Take deep breaths
Look up and far more, not down and close
Call a friend or family, not texting
Take a nap when overwhelming thoughts come up
Laugh out loud once a day
Create my self-affirmations and read them to myself
Digital detox for 1 hour a day
Book a consultation with a professional service provider if I feel I need extra help (think of it as your self-love investment that will pay off exponentially)

However, by acknowledging your strengths and practicing self-love, you can overcome negative thoughts, take action toward your goals, and surround yourself with positive people.
